The HSMMCC high-speed motor magnet is a half-pulse replacement magnet for Club Car IQ golf carts equipped with an ADC motor. It is designed for 48-volt electric applications, including Club Car DS and Precedent models, and is not compatible with Excel vehicles or IQ systems using a GE motor.
The magnet works with the existing motor speed sensor and is intended to raise the electronic rev-limiter threshold. Regenerative motor braking is disabled when this magnet is installed, allowing the cart to free-wheel downhill. The source indicates a potential 2–8 MPH increase depending on battery condition.
